As reported by SUNDAY TIMES, LONDON  It could be the perfect summer chocolate. Swiss scientists say they have stumbled upon the formula for a chocolate which doesnt melt in your hands while also being ultra low fat. The Zurich-based firm Barry Callebaut claims its Vulcano chocolate can withstand heat up to 55C, nearly double the temperature at which normal chocolate melts, while containing 90% fewer calories. Vulcano will be sold as an ingredient to confectionary giants such as Nestle and Cadburys , meaning anti-melt and lowcalorie versions of household brands such as Kit Kat and Dairy Milk could go on sale within two years. Although the firm is keeping the formula secret, experts believe its scientists may have substituted some cocoa butter which is fatty and melts at about 30C with starch. On 23rd July Sea waves measuring up to 5.1 meters lashed Mumbai and other places in the Konkan region, flooding homes of people living in the coastal areas here Thursday afternoon, civic officials said. The highest tide in last 100 years — measuring up to 5.5 meters. The sea water flooded low-lying coastal areas like Cuffe Parade in south Mumbai, Colaba, Worli, Mahim, Khar, Juhu, Versova and Marve, a police official said. If you’re a Japanese fisherman, the answer is weird monster jellyfish named Nomura’s jellyfish ( Nemopilema nomurai ), or, as the Japanese call it, echizen kurage . The gigantic creature can wreak havoc on fishing nets and their contents, destroying the nets and poisoning the catch. Even nuclear powerplants aren’t safe: Reports describe the jellyfish being sucked into pumps that draw seawater to cool the reactors.   Echizen kurage have shown up in Japanese waters in increasing numbers in recent years. The population surge of 2005 was particularly bad, affecting the salmon , yellowtail , and anchovy fisheries . But the mass of them gathering now in the Yellow Sea of China is the biggest ever, and eventually ocean currents will deliver them to Japan’s doorstep.
